THE RAVEONETTES: "It's too expensive to bring personal manager on this tour."

Hey... Ummm.. Are you Sharin Foo?

Yes i am.

So.. Where's the rest of the band? Or are you flying alone?

They are eating. I have to do the itinerary check, since it is too expensive to bring personal manager on this tour.

What?! No manager with YOU guys?

Yes. It saves the budget, and this is what we're doing usually when we are touring.

Wow, that IS surprising! I mean i'm suprised enough finding you in this budget airflight lounge, cause you guys are supposed to be in the executive class or something! Haha

Haha, sorry to dissapoint you but these stuff happens in a Raveonettes tour..

Yesterday, i saw you roll your own guitar cables. That's so great, unlike many big bands who refuse to clean up their own instrument after a show.

Hahaha. Yes, we're just touring in small group.

Well, anyway, last night was amazing, but why don't you play Suicide, Sad Transmission and Boys Who Rape? I will dance like there's no tomorrow if you played it..

Awww.. Yeah those songs would be great too.. But sadly it's not on our setlist.

You must bring lots and lots of equipment. Did it came with the flight or you shipped it via cargo?

No, we just bring a couple instruments like guitars and stuff. It all comes with us in the plane.

No amps?

No, we always rents it.

What kind of amps do you guys use, is it Fender Hot Rod Devil?

No, we prefer Twin Reverb, we only use Hot Rod when we are in UK.

Nice. And about guitars.. I suppose there's nothing better than a Jazzmaster, eh?

Haaha yeah! It's always Jazzmaster guitars since the beginning. Sune got the vintage one. And he got a couple of '90s reissues. I think it's not that rare though.

About that.. Are you guys hanging out with the YYYs? Nick Zinner also got the obsession with Fender right?

Yes, we hang out most with Nick and we've played several gigs together.

You guys worked with Vice Records too right? For the Lust Lust Lust album?

Yeahh..! Do you guys Know Vice?

Yeahh.. They're cool. So, i think we're gonna watch you guys again in Bandung. You're goin to Bandung right?

Yeah!! Is it far from Jakarta?

About three hours ride.

Ouch. Pretty far. So i suppose i'll see you guys again in Bandung?

Of course. I will come. I'm a man of my words.

See you guys then! I'll have to catch up with the guys. The plane's gonna leave soon..

Ok we'll leave too, we're on the same flight!
